This tranquil moment when the sun took it's leave of the day happened just after a lifting storm. It was caught off New Zealand's spectacular South Island west coast near Cape Fowlwind.

This ocean sunrise was photographed at Kaiteriteri Beach on New Zealand's beautiful South Island an area where the tides rise and fall can leave a hiker stranded in the shoreline's exquisite mazes of rocky inlets and peninsulas. It is between Abel Tasman Park, an adventurer's tropical paradise only accessible by water and the beautiful Marlboro Sounds, a seakayaker's dream.
